We have a mind that has limitless potential, but we need proper tools to make good use of it, in this post, I will be discussing self-talk recordings that can be used for this particular purpose.
Our thoughts are powerful, but our mind has a natural tendency to think more about the negative things due to which a lot of its power is lost in unwanted stuff, if you could change your self-talk (which is the voice inside your head) in a way that it tells you about the positive things, then you can make some very major positive changes in your life.
What Is Self-Talk Recordings
It has been a long time since I have used them as I have some other tools now that works more efficiently, but it was very helpful to me when I was just realizing that our mind can be used to accomplish various life goals.
At that time I stumbled upon a book by Dr. Shad Helmstetter named “what to say when you talk to yourself“, where he talks about the impact self-talk has on our minds.
I must say, this was one of the books that taught me how our mind works and how our thought patterns create our self-image that results into who we are.
The book teaches you some very good techniques on how to detect your mindset because many people are affected by the victim mentality where they keep on beating themselves up in their mind which is very dangerous for their self-esteem and the author also shows how you can reprogram your mind using his suggested methods.
So what I did was, using the techniques provided in the book I recorded some positive suggestions in my own voice based on the mindset I had at that time and played it repeatedly for a few days.
Though initially, it felt a little stupid, but it was an amazing experience, I saw my way of thinking and behavior pattern change by doing this, on top of that I felt very confident.
I still am grateful for this book because it was one of the foundational lessons that led me to where I am today.
Your Powerful Subconscious Mind
Positive suggestions and affirmations may not make much sense to you on the surface level, but let me tell you, our subconscious mind is like a kid and it believes something to be true when it is repeatedly told.
Once your powerful subconscious mind has accepted something to be true, it makes it your reality. So when you do these types of exercises you are actually getting rid of the limiting beliefs present in your subconscious mind and implanting new empowering beliefs there.
What you are capable of doing now is just because your thoughts offer the least resistance in achieving something you now believe is possible and by changing your inner beliefs you can also achieve something that seems impossible to you right now.
