Difference between Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming

If you have had out of body experiences (OBEs), you might be well aware of the difference between astral projection and lucid dreaming, but if you have never had OBE adventure, then it will be very difficult for you to even imagine what it would be like to be an astral traveler.

I am saying this because I have been a lucid dreaming for a long time now and I have had dreams that are so close to waking life, that it sometimes feels like reality.

Multiple false awakenings combined with sleep paralysis have troubled me a lot in the past, to which I found out a solution by converting false awakenings and sleep paralysis into lucid dreams.

Whenever I successfully become aware of a dream that is a false awakening, the dream scene in most cases was very close my actual environment, I can roam around my house and see the usual happenings as if I have come out of my body. 7 Awesome Law of Attraction Techniques for Busy People

One of the main reasons why people don’t succeed with the law of attraction techniques is due to their inability to stay consistent with it, that’s why I will show you some methods here that you can use even if you are having the busiest day of your life.

Some of these methods will help you to get closer to your big goals; some of them will work better for manifesting your small wishes, whereas some will just bring you into a good emotional state so that you could have a great day.

I have made this list with the help of some quick to use methods I have learned from various books and programs. I have also modified some techniques so that it could be used by you during the short breaks you get from your busy schedule.

Here are the 7 LOA exercises that you can practice anytime, anywhere:-

1 – Rampage of Appreciation

Despite mentioning this exercise in many of my posts, I would still like to put it here because this is one of the best exercises I learned from the book “Ask and It Is Given”.

All you have to do is to pick something from your surrounding; it can be a person, an object, a situation or anything, and start appreciating it. But keep in mind that your thoughts about it should be honest.

For example, when you are walking in the street you can do it like this: –

I love walking like this, it gives me a break from the worries and it is also good for my health.

I like that restaurant, their food is great and the ambiance is just perfect.

This cold breeze is so lovely, I feel so relaxed and happy.

So, that’s how it is done, it may sound a little weird, but try it for a while before you decide. I have got into the state of flow many times with the use of this technique.

2 – I Have a Millionaire Mind

When it comes to using the law of attraction for money issues, I have never found anything more effective than T. Harv Eker’s “the spiritual laws of money program”, but the simple exercise that he teaches for altering one’s inner beliefs is something I would like to share with you here.

To do this, whenever you find yourself in any money related situation just observe your feelings and thoughts, if they are negative then formulate an affirmation that can dissolve the root belief associated with those thoughts and say it by keeping your hand on your heart. After doing this, put a finger on your head and say “I have a millionaire mind”

This simple declaration thing I learned from Harv has significantly changed my relationship with money, so I will share one of my experiences here to explain it better.

One day my uncle came to visit me and he gave some money to me while leaving, I wanted to refuse, but I wasn’t able to because he has done it since I was a kid and I can see that he actually liked giving me some money while saying goodbye.

However, I felt some kind of guilt and I realized that I feel this way whenever money shows up unexpectedly. Since I am now aware of how my inner mind works, I found out the root belief which was causing that feeling.

The belief was “it is wrong to receive money for nothing”. That is a very dangerous inner belief that can cause a lot of struggle in one’s life.

Here’s the declaration I used – I am happy to receive money in any way it would like to come to me, so I open the doors to abundance and prosperity.

All I had to do is to repeat this statement a couple of times whenever I felt that way again by placing my hand on my heart, then I would place a finger on my head and say “I have a millionaire mind”. Gradually I became comfortable in receiving unexpected money, thanks to Harv.

3 Ho’oponopono Process

I learned this from Joe Vitale’s Zero limits and it worked so well for me that I enrolled for the practitioner course to know more about it.

To do this you just have to say 4 statements whenever a negative situation arises, and things will begin to change. I am not saying that your problems will magically disappear, but I find this process quite effective because with the repeated use of these four statements I have had some very good results.

All you have to do is to mentally say: – (you are saying this to a higher power or you can call it your higher self)

I am sorry. (For in whatever way I have caused that situation, this is all about accountability)

Please forgive me. (For thinking thoughts, holding beliefs or taking action that has caused me this trouble)

Thank you. (For showing me what I needed to know)

I love you.

4 – Changing the Angle

Even if you are a pretty much spiritually advanced person, there would be times when you will feel a little jealous seeing someone who has something you desire.

In the terms of the law of attraction, whenever you feel jealous your thoughts are working against you. So whether consciously or unconsciously, if you have negative feelings for someone because they have what you want, then you are actually stopping yourself from having those things/qualities.

It is true that you can’t stop envying someone initially, but whenever you realize it, just understand that whatever you will say about this person will become your truth.

The next step is to deliberately shift your way of seeing them and mentally say to them “You Are Amazing” and then keep going on like “Wow, people love your company”, “ Such a confident person you are”, etc till you start feeling good.

5 – Story Mode Visualization

You know why visualization usually seems like a time-consuming process to people? It is because they feel that they have to prepare their mind first and they need more time to make the images appear.

It is true that visualization works best when you are relaxed but there is a way to make it a part of your busy life; I call it story mode visualization.

All you have to do is to close your eyes for a while when you get time and narrate a beautiful story (in the present tense) to yourself about a life in which you have all that you desire, it is not necessary that you should see something, just keep enjoying it as long as you can.

6 I Love Myself

The quickest way to change your life is through developing self-love, so you must do something about it every day.

People with a busy life don’t have much time to do any self-love activity. I believe that one should give preference to his emotional state over everything else because emotions are the fuel that gives us the energy to do other tasks.

So I would strongly advise you to give some time for the self-help activities regularly, however, I can share with you something using which you can increase your love for yourself without spending too much time on it. All you have to do is to say “I love myself” looking at the mirror a few times daily, remind yourself to do it whenever you see a mirror.

It may seem like an insignificant task on the surface level, but it changes the self-image you have in your subconscious mind.

7 Being Grateful for What Is

Many people keep a gratitude journal and they also have a particular gratitude time to express their gratefulness to the universe because they know that gratitude has the power to bend their reality, but I believe that more than the gratitude we express for big things that have happened in our lives it is important to feel good about the small things that make us happy.

So, whenever I feel happy about anything I close my eyes and say “thank you”, it could be something as small as a cup of coffee. No matter how busy you are, you can make this a habit right? It really helps you to feel more positive about life.


So these were some exercises that you can use in your busiest days, make them a part of your everyday life and I am sure that it will help you in manifesting your desires.

Apart from these, I also use energy clearing statements that I learned from the unlimited abundance course which has helped me to eliminate some of my biggest limiting belief.

8 Very Important Tips on How to Keep a Dream Journal

If you are thinking of starting to write your dreams, then the tips I am going to share in the post will help you to keep a dream journal properly so that you can become a lucid dreamer.

Here I will be sharing a few tips with you using which you can multiply the benefits of dream journaling for both remembering your dreams as well as for increasing your dream awareness.

People often become too lazy to write their dreams on paper, there definitely are many alternatives to dream journal, but none of it is that much powerful because our inner mind more easily retains data that we write on a paper.

These tips that I am going to offer you here will put you a lot of steps ahead in the journey of lucid dreaming because all these points are effective ways to communicate with the subconscious mind about your interest in your dream world.

Dream Journaling Suggestions for Maximum Benefits: –

1 Buy a Special Diary for This Purpose

First of all, make sure your dream journal is a good looking, high-quality one. There is a psychological reason associated with this, so prefer not doing it on any common notebook.

2 Keep It Near Your Bed

Trust me, you will not bother to open a shelf or get up from your bed to record your dreams when you are half asleep.

3 Write in the Present Tense

This is a very important one guys, write your dreams in the present tense as if you are dreaming right now. Doing this will sometimes bring some of the dreams to your awareness that you might have forgotten.

4 Read Your Previous Dreams before Sleeping

One of the best ways to let your mind know that you intend to remember your dreams is to read your dreams before going to bed.

5 Write Whenever You Wake Up – Use Codes

For knowing your dreams better, I advise you to write whenever you wake up, no matter what time it is. Sometimes you will be so less conscious to even able to write a complete wordwhen that happens use codes, abbreviations which you can understand afterward.

Here’s an example: –

I am…Jimmy..beach. fly abv Antarctica..penguins. I am simply trying to say here that I am on a beach with Jimmy, and then I am flying above Antarctica and I see penguins. Sometimes you don’t even need to understand each word, it will remind you the whole scene naturally.

6 Describe in Detail

You will be tempted to write your dreams as quickly as possible due to your busy schedule, believing that you will complete it later on.

However, you probably will realize this soon that you forget all your dreams within few hours after waking up, so you will never get a second chance to describe your dreams in detail once you get out of your bed.

What’s wrong with that? Well, if you won’t try to recall your dreams in detail, you won’t  ever remember your lucid dreams in much detail, that can make you miss a hell lot of things about a beautiful lucid dream adventure.

7 Be Honest

Dreams are weird, we all know that. See, all the rules we have made about “what is right” and “what is wrong” does not apply to our dream world.

Sometimes you may dream stuff that you may not want anyone to know or you won’t like to be reminded of that either, so you may want to just skip it sometimes.

One thing you must understand is that some such dreams must have occurred for some purpose of which you are unaware, if you will not write your dreams honestly, then many important dreams will start getting out of your awareness before you even pick up your journal.

You can again use codes to describe such dreams so that only you can understand it.

8 Use a Proper Heading and Date

This might seem silly to you, but if you want to let your inner mind know that you want to be more aware of your dream world then a little bit of creativity is essential. Hence, give a good title to all your long or interesting dreams. Also, make sure to begin by writing the date first.

Power Pause Technique – The 3 Minute Magic

I don’t know if you have ever heard of the power pause technique or not, but it is a personal development tool that can help you to overcome any of your life problems.

Last week I read a very good book from John Harricharan named “The Power Pause” and that was the very first time I got to know about this method, it is something so simple that even a kid can learn it, but please don’t make the mistake of doubting its effectiveness by its simplicity.

Honestly, for me also it was hard to believe that the power pause method can help me in any way to improve my life because what it teaches appears to be very primitive from the perspective of someone like me who has explored a lot of self-help materials.

The three steps you will learn here that this whole thing is all about, is not a secret formula that you won’t be already knowing, however, I think what makes it so effective is one important thing it does to a person’s mental state when he is facing any kind of problem, which is to break his focus for a while from the troublesome thoughts.

A sudden shift in focus is crucial in solving any life problem, so many spiritual teachings and great philosophies have pointed out that all our problems are created by our mind and the focus we give to them is what magnifies it.

Well, that makes sense, but according to John Harricharan this process can do a lot more than just that, this 3-minute practice can do miracles and he has witnessed such powerful workings of this method in his own life.

Your Ability to Affect Your Reality

As I mentioned, this simple process is much more than just a tool to change your emotional state, it is something you can use to change your life situations even during times when it seems totally out of control.

I am not saying this just because I believe that we hold the creative power to live a life of our desires by being in harmony with the universal laws, but I have read the testimonials where many people have shared the stories on how this one simple method has changed their lives.

It is not at all necessary that you can only use this in difficult situations; you can make it a part of your life by performing it whenever you feel negative emotions in your daily life.

I really believe that you can make a lot of positive changes in your world using this method; it is especially very useful for people who find it hard to meditate or do creative visualization. After all, who cannot manage to use 3 minutes for their personal development right?

The Three Steps

You will find a lot more about this technique in the book, but I am going to show you how to perform the power pause from what I have learned.


1 – Stop/Pause

In the first step, you will break the flow of negative thoughts or emotions that any situation might be causing in you.

Sometimes you will have to convince yourself to draw your focus for 3 minutes, you are not going to take the whole day or even an hour, so you will succeed in making your mind to agree on focusing somewhere else for just three minutes.

2 – Visualize and Feel

Don’t worry; you don’t have to be good at creative visualization for doing this. You just have to think or imagine a different life situation where you are not having any troublesome thoughts, you will have to bring the feelings of being in a good situation while doing this, it doesn’t matter if you are seeing any vivid image or not..feelings are important.

Most people make a mistake of imagining a solution or a future event where they don’t have the specific problem which is bothering them right now. Please keep in mind that the solution is not in your hands, so just focus for a few minutes on the feelings by imagining a pleasant experience, it could be something opposite to what is troubling you right now but don’t imagine how it will happen..just think about the end results.

3 – Gratitude

A heartfelt “thank you” can do wonders and that’s why it is the final part of this particular process. After doing that short visualization just say “thank you” to the universe or any higher power you believe in.

This gratefulness that you are expressing here is an act of faith where you trust that the universe will bring your life back to the track.

I have found this method very useful for shifting my focus from the unwanted thoughts and I am pretty much sure that this will be useful to you as well. I would also suggest you my post on how to increase the happiness in your life.

In my personal development journey I have always been too much focused on changing the limiting beliefs present in my subconscious mind, which indeed is necessary for a long term effect but recently I have come to learn that our conscious mind’s abilities are also pivotal when it comes to achieving any goal.

This power pause thing was one small example of that and I am also learning a technique which triggers “physiological languages” that are certain behavioral methods that can greatly influence any situation in your life and thus turning it to your favor. 20 Powerful Lucid Dreaming Affirmations

Since dreams are created by our subconscious mind, the lucid dreaming affirmations that I will be discussing in this post can help you to become conscious in your dreams as well as to get better at having prolonged lucid dreams with greater control.

Honestly speaking, I have never been a big fan of affirmations despite knowing that it is a great tool for implanting suggestions in our inner mind, I often find it a tedious task, so I have always preferred the other ways of altering the limiting beliefs present in my subconscious mind.

So I promote usage of the methods I use for clearing my subconscious mind blocks when it comes to achieving goals and personal growth. However, when I was using dream sculpting program, I found a few ways to get better at lucid dreaming with the use of affirmations and it actually worked.

I believe that the affirmations which I am going to share with you here will not only help you to get better at inducing lucid dreams but also to hone this skill because it worked that way in my case.

Before we get there I want to explain a few things that make affirmations so powerful for the purpose of lucid dreaming.

3 Ways Affirmations Can Help You with Lucid Dreaming

Basically, there are three things that affirmations do when we are using them for lucid dreaming.

The first is just for entering into a dream with awareness when you go to sleep every night, in other words, it is meant for inducing lucid dreams. On the other hand, the other two are about improving your abilities as a conscious dreamer.

Since the first one is all about inducing a lucid dream, it is a process to just keep you mentally awake while falling asleep, however, the latter ones are all about passing suggestions to your powerful subconscious mind so that you could master this skill in the long run.

1 – Immediate Lucid Dreams

Has it ever happened to you that your last dominant thought got into your dreams when you fell asleep for a short duration? Has it ever happened that you were listening to a song while taking a short nap and you continued to hear it while you were dreaming? Or something that was happening in your surrounding when you were sleeping and it somehow became a part of your dream?

Based on the fact that we can carry certain repeated thoughts and intentions into our dreams by contemplating over it before sleeping, there is a method used by people called WILD (wake induced lucid dreams).

WILD is simply a method where you take your conscious thoughts with you in your dreams in order to induce a lucid dream using various techniques and one such technique is affirmations.

What happens is when you repeatedly say some affirmations while falling asleep during the time when your mind goes to REM (rapid eye moment) cycle, you carry those words into your dreams and it will make you aware that you are dreaming.

I will give a few affirmations for this purpose later in this post, but in order to use them, you will have to do it during REM sleep which usually happens during early morning hours. All you have to do is to wake yourself up an hour before your normal time and say those affirmations.

It can be effective during daytime naps as well and sometimes also in your usual bedtime.

2 – Better Dream Recall

We all dream, all of us. Still, if you will ask some people they would say that they rarely dream or don’t dream at all, this is not an exception, but a poor dream recall.

If people are not much interested in their dream world, chances are that they will only recall rare dreams which leave a strong impression that continues after waking up and that is why they live under the illusion that they don’t dream.

We all forget most of our dreams from the time we wake up to the point where our mind gets completely engaged in the thoughts of our waking lives, with practice this time period increases. But if you have a poor dream recall, then you will forget that you had a lucid dream within a few seconds after waking up, so quick that you will never even get to know it.

What is the point of being able to have lucid dreams if you are totally unaware of it? I have written a post on the alternatives for dream keeping a dream journal, but writing down your dreams on paper is always best.

Affirmations, however, can improve your conscious mind’s ability to retain your dream memories since “memories” whether that is about dreams or real life is simply a process where information gets transferred from your subconscious mind to your conscious mind.

Thus, if you will keep repeating a few positive suggestions, you will see a significant change in your ability to recall your dreams.

3 – Overall Lucid Dreaming Skill

It is not at all of any good use if you just become conscious in your dreams without being able to do what you have desired.

As a beginner lucid dreamer, it will be hard for you to maintain your awareness of the dream, control it or stop it from ending. It is a common thing, that a dream collapses as soon as a person gets aware of it.

So if you want to actually explore your dream world, you need to get that message to your subconscious mind, and as I have mentioned before, affirmations can help you with that.

Choosing Your Affirmations

I am not going to give you some secret “magical” affirmations here that will make you an elite level lucid dreamer overnight, no I am not going to do that because there are no magical affirmations.

See, affirmations are just tools for doing this and that is why you can always formulate your own affirmations.

In this post I have provided a few selected ones for you that offer the least resistance to our system, which means it reaches our subconscious mind effectively when used repeatedly, however, if you want to make your own affirmations that work as good as these, then just keep in mind to choose one that: –

1 – Evokes Strong Feelings in You

Like, “I am a lucid dreamer” is obviously not a powerful affirmation in comparison to “Every time I dream, I know that I am dreaming”.  Can you see the difference here?

The first one is simply about the label “lucid dreamer”, the second one, however briefly explains and demonstrates what you want, whereas it is not just a surface level thought.

2 – Has No Negation in It

Always keep in mind our subconscious mind cannot hear “No”, so if you will use any kind of negation in your affirmations, it will work in the opposite way.

So “I don’t lose my awareness when I dream” is an example of an affirmation that will sound to your subconscious mind as “I lose my awareness when I dream” since it cannot hear the word “no”.

A right affirmation in the above case would be “I am fully aware whenever I am dreaming”.

I am going to provide some very good affirmations for all the purposes we have discussed above, make sure you choose the ones that “feels right” to you.

Positive Affirmations for Conscious Dreaming

For WILD: – (Use when you are trying to enter a lucid dream from the waking state)

  • I am aware and conscious right now.
  • This is a dream and I can control it.
  • I am creating this dream consciously.
  • In this dream, I will be fully conscious.
  • I am dreaming and I know it.

For Dream Recall: –

  • I naturally recall all my dreams in complete detail.
  • My dream memory is very strong.
  • My dream memories are important to me.
  • I remember all my dreams when I wake up.
  • My ability to recall my dreams is getting better every day.

For Lucid Dreaming Skill: –

  • Whenever I dream I become aware of it.
  • I always become conscious in my dreams.
  • Every time I become conscious in my dreams, I remember my intentions.
  • I am very good at controlling my dreams.
  • My conscious dreams are long and real-like.
  • I love it that I can control my dreams.
  • Whenever I sleep, my mind is highly aware.
  • I am getting better at becoming aware in my dreams every day.
  • My conscious dreams are clear, vivid and memorable.
  • I am good at maintaining my dream awareness.


Those were some affirmations you can use to become a good lucid dreamer. You might have noticed that I have used the words “awareness” and “conscious dreaming” in the place of “lucidity or lucid dreams”, that’s because our inner mind is more familiar to those words. However, there is no huge difference if you want to use “lucid dreaming” because the intention and feeling associated with it will remain same.

Why Is Gratitude so Powerful?

Well, let me share with you something I have found in many personal growth books and programs.

Our subconscious mind has the solutions and answers for all our problems right now, in every moment we receive a lot of information from our surroundings from which our mind filters out and brings to us the data that fits into our perception of the world.

In other words, the key for which we are looking is always in front of us, but we just cannot see it because our mind is not letting it enter our field of perception.

We can never manifest our desires until we clear the limiting beliefs present in our subconscious mind that is generating the thoughts that are working against us.

So, conscious intentions and wishing are of no use until we learn how to allow things to pass the shield created by our own mind.

In a way, we are our biggest enemies in the path of achieving what we desire. On one hand, we do a lot of things to get what we want and on the other hand, we engage in thoughts to build a perspective which blindfolds us from seeing the right path to achieve it.

When a person learns to develop a strong present moment awareness where he has desires (which is natural) but it does not restrict him from living the moment to its fullest, he reaches to a state of flow where quick manifestations happen.

Gratitude is one of the simplest and powerful tools that can get you closer to that place. You can always prefer a good meditation or mindfulness exercises for becoming more aware, but if you will learn to appreciate your life “as it is”, you will naturally start living in the present moment more than ever before.

A habit of being genuinely grateful in the present moment opens your energy field to allow more good things to manifest. Not just that, I have also read in some books that it can also help you to clear your negative karma.

That’s why we are going to look at some good exercises you can use for doing this.

Effective Gratitude Practices

This is the part of this post where I will be actually giving you some exercises I personally use, however you can do it in any way you want by keeping only one thing in mind “do it with genuine feelings”.

If you will do these exercises to achieve something specific, it won’t work, you will have to develop a habit to deliberately focus on the good things in your life so that it gets added to your natural behavioral qualities.


1 – Morning Gratitude

As I have mentioned before, one of the best ways to begin your mornings is to meditate over what you love about your life.

To do this, you just need to lie in your bed or sit up after waking up and think of a few events that made you happy in the previous day and also express your gratitude to the universe for everything you are happy about your present life.

2 – Gratitude Journal

I know it is a bit difficult for many people to keep a gratitude journal (including me), but writing about things you are grateful is far more effective than just thinking about it.

Things get communicated to our subconscious mind when we write our story with strong emotions, so if you could, just buy a good looking journal and start writing about things for which you are grateful.

You can do this every day or frequently in a week, just list a few things for which you are truly grateful in your life.

You can also begin by saying “I am so happy and grateful that___” and write about the things you love whether let it be something as small as your morning coffee or a beautiful song that made your day.

3 – Saying Grace before Meals

I am not a catholic, but I love this ritual because it is very easy to put into practice since every time you sit to have your meals, you are reminded of expressing gratitude to the higher power.

What I do is I think of a few things that happened over the past few hours which put me into a good state of mind every time before I have my meals, sometimes I also begin by thanking for the delicious food I am about to eat.

4 – Active Gratitude

This is my favorite, and I have talked about it in many of my posts. Active gratitude is something that becomes your second nature with time as you realize how it helps you to stay happy.

Whenever anything happens that evokes positive emotions in you just say “thanks” immediately. This is probably the most genuine way of expressing your gratefulness to the universe because when you say thanks for anything that happens in a particular moment, you do it sincerely.

A few moments ago, I received a call from one of my close friends after a long time and I said “thanks” to the universe after the call ended because it made me happy.

That’s how it’s done; you don’t need to win a lottery to be happy. Most people are hypnotized by the thoughts of what they want or what they don’t have that they completely ignore the things that really matters to them.

Most of us miss our teenage days, whereas at that time we just wanted to become adults. We are gaining and losing things in every moment and we only realize it later.

So, start admiring big and small stuff in your life right now by developing the attitude of gratitude.

3 Awesome Lucid Dreaming Stories That Will Blow Your Mind

I have heard about a lot of exciting dreams, but there are a few lucid dreaming stories that I came across which really left me dumbstruck, so I want to share them with you here today.

Previously, I made a post on my three interesting lucid dreaming experiences that gave me some spiritual insights and I have had many amazing dream experiences. But the stories “Robert Waggoner’s “Lucid Dreaming – Gateway to the Inner Self” book narrates has always boggled my mind because they depict the power of our inner mind.

If you are a lucid dreamer, your interest in your dream world will increase after knowing these stories and if you are not, then you may start aspiring to be one after reading this because these stories tell us that our dreams are a lot more than just a virtual world.

# 1 Dream Figure Proves Her Existence

Robert starts the thirteenth chapter “Healing Yourself and Others” by giving an example of a person Dan, who was physically affected in actual life from what happened in his dream.

A very important tip for the lucid dreaming beginners, “Never try to prove your dream figures that they are not real and never act as the boss in your dreams”.

So what happened in this dream is that this guy Dan found himself in an extravagant party in which a beautiful lady came and sat on his lap asking whether he is enjoying himself to which he responds by stating that he is dreaming.

Hearing this, the dream figure asks if he thinks she is not real and he says “yes” which makes her very angry. Annoyed by Dan’s denial of her existence she crushes a lit cigarette in his hands saying “let me show you what’s real” which wakes him up.

What is astonishing about this story is that this guy actually had the round shaped burn mark on his hand when he woke up!

It is our powerful subconscious mind creating the dreams, so anything can happen.

This is a rare example which indicates that dreams can make an impact on the physical body. A common example is feeling pain in the dream that sometimes continues with less intensity after waking up.

# 2 Finding the Mark

Next story is about Ian, Robert’s friend who did an experiment on lucid dreaming telepathy with a person which turned out to be a hard to believe incidence.

A girl gave Ian a task to locate the correct position of a freckle she has in her back in his dreams to see if it is possible to establish a telepathic connection in the dreams. Within a week, he had a lucid dream where he met her and found that the mark was in the exact center of her back just above the hips.

He confirmed it with her whether what he saw in his dream had any truth associated with it and it turned out to be the exact position where she had that freckle.

# 3 Mutual Dreams

Now this one is totally insane, there is an entire part about mutual lucid dreaming in that book, but what really got me was the story with which the chapter begins.

The story is something the author has read in some other book where a person who lives in a co-ed dorm of a college dreamed that he went to the dorm where girls lived and made love with more than 10 girls there one by one.

Shockingly, he finds out that many girls there have had similar dream the same night and they began teasing him as “Romeo” that day because of that, due to the embarrassment, he avoided talking about it with anyone there.

# 4 Interacting with the Deceased

I have shared a lucid dream where I met a deceased friend of mine before, but one story illustrated by Robert’s book is very surprising.

A girl dreams meeting a deceased preacher whom she knew as a child, being a lucid dreamer, she understands the situation and asks “do you have any message for your wife” and he replies “tell her, the big picture she has of me is not me”.

This girl went to that preacher’s house to meet his wife and narrated this incidence despite the hesitance and his wife broke out in tears by telling her that she has been crying in front of a big picture of him that she has in her house, trying to pull him out of it!


Robert Waggoner’s “Lucid Dreaming – Gateway to the Inner Self“, is one of the books I read as a beginner in conscious dreaming, I got referred to it by the program that began my lucid dreaming journey, and it remains my favorite book on conscious dreaming ever since that day. I love it because it covers in detail about the possibilities of lucid dreaming. If you need to read more dream stories, you will find plenty of them in this book.

6 Law of Attraction Exercises for the Beginners

In this post, I will be providing a few law of attraction exercises that will work best for the beginners because when people learn about the universal laws for the first time, they are usually very confused about how to use the LOA methods.

I am going to write some methods here that you will be able to use right away after reading this post, but these exercises are meant to be used for gradually becoming better at getting what you want rather than going for the big goals in the beginning, as going after big things initially is not a good idea.

What matters the most while using your creative power to get what you desire is to believe that you have control over what happens in your life.

Obviously, in the beginning, you won’t be having the faith that is required to attract your desired stuff and that’s the main reason why so many people fail to use these principles properly.

Most of the people I have known who are skeptical about this whole concept of LOA are those who succeeded initially and later failed to attract their big goals.

I know many books written on the law of attraction talk about setting very high goals, but I suggest you start with small things and gradually move forward because this way your faith in these methods will grow stronger.

That’s why the techniques I am going to write here mainly focuses on improving your emotional state because once you start feeling good, the manifestation of your desires follows.

# 1 Visualizing Small Goals

I agree that the manifestations of your big goals are possible, but trust me, small random manifestations surprise us more.

What happens in most cases is that big goals take a lot of time to manifest and often during the process we get too much involved in the practical action steps, so when it actually happens, we often don’t find it very much exciting.

On the other hand, when we set small goals, we often forget about it and when it shows up out of nowhere, we get surprised.

The more these small manifestations happen, the more you will start believing in your creative power.

Here’s how to do it: –

1 – Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.

2 – Imagine yourself with any small thing that you want to attract. Let us assume that you wish to dine at your favorite restaurant, so see yourself eating your favorite food there with whoever you wish to.

3 – Feel the feelings this thought brings to you, enjoy it as if it is happening right now.

4 – Open your eyes and say “thank you universe”.

Do this a few times and then forget about it.

2 – Yes I Would Love to Have It

Whenever we see something that makes us jealous or sad about the fact that we don’t have it, the feeling of lack that emanates from us tells the universe to keep that thing away from us.

It is like the universe is giving us options and we are rejecting it every time, so if you see a happy couple and feel a little jealous about being single, energy wise you are saying “I want to stay single”.

So, next time whenever you come across something that makes you jealous, become aware of your emotions and bless that thing with genuine feelings.

This will make you feel better and then say to the universe with a strong intention “Yes, I would love to have it”.

Making this method a part of your life will turn everything that makes you jealous into an opportunity to attract that in your life.

3 – Intention Setting

One of the easiest ways to know how your creative ability works is to observe how things often happen according to your intentions.

Your monotonous lifestyle might have killed the new possibilities, but once you realize the power of your intention, your life will never be the same.

However, in the beginning, you can fortify your faith by setting your daily or weekly intentions by writing it down on a paper as a checklist and then watch how it works for you.

Just write a few things you want (small, possible things) at the start of every week (or day) and whenever an opportunity shows up that can make it happen, do take the necessary actions.

4 – Active Gratitude

I have talked about this in many posts; this is something I use to magnify the good feelings of any moment. You should use this as a beginner so that it becomes your second nature later on.

People who are aware of the universal laws usually have a specific time in the day for expressing their gratefulness to the universe for all the things they love about their life and that’s a very good habit, but when you make gratitude a part of your life by practicing active gratitude, you will feel like you are supported by the higher power always.

It is a very simple process; all you have to do is to say “thank you” whenever something big or small happens in your life that makes you happy. Don’t judge it by its simplicity; this process can work miracles for you.

5 – Fun Vision Board Making Exercise

You might be already familiar with the vision boards, but as a beginner, you may find it boring to make a vision board and do visualizations. It is still a very difficult thing for me even after so many years of learning about these laws.

However, I have found an exercise of making vision boards which makes it an interesting process for me and the simple rule to make any LOA method effective is to have fun while doing it.

6 – Affirmations before Sleeping

When you are new to the LOA methods, affirmations might be the one technique in which you will be making a lot of mistakes because formulating an affirmation is a tricky task.

So it is always better, to begin with, the general affirmations you will find in a lot of books, but still, you must choose one that evokes some strong positive feelings in you.

The easiest exercise to make proper use of affirmations will be to say these statements when you go to sleep, you can also use some visualization here and do it until you fall asleep.

This is very effective because before sleeping we go to the alpha state of mind, which is a more relaxed state than the usual one when you are awake, and in this alpha state our subconscious mind is open to receive suggestions.

Easy Methods to Have Wake Induced Lucid Dreams (WILD Technique)

“WILD” is one of the most popular methods of lucid dreaming, so here I will be discussing some methods that will help you to have wake induced lucid dreams.

This is probably the most used lucid dreaming method because entering into a dream with a strong intention of becoming lucid during the REM phase of sleep increases the chances of one to become conscious in their dreams.

Hence, WILD is simply a dream that is consciously entered from the wakeful state during the REM (rapid eye movement) cycle.

Since the rapid eye movement cycle is the phase of our sleep cycles where we dream, our mind is more aware in that state and this fact can be used to increase dream awareness using various techniques so that you could have lucid dreams.

There are many methods you can use for wake induced lucid dreams and I will be discussing some very effective ones in this post.

Waking Up before REM Cycle

More important than the methods, you will have to wake up at the right time otherwise it will defeat your purpose.

Identifying the clock time when you have REM cycle is the first step in WILD technique and this could be done with a little observation of your sleep quality.

What I am going to tell you here is something I learned from David Debold’s Miracle Mastery program: –

Adults have 3-4 complete sleep cycles every night if they have normal sleep, a complete cycle consists of a deep sleep cycle (where the mind goes into deep unconscious levels) and REM sleep, which as I have already mentioned, is when our mind is more aware.

Rapid eye moment sleep is so called because our eyeballs keep moving during this phase, if you wake up when REM cycle ends, you will be wide awake and you will remember your dreams very well. If you have ever set alarms at different points while sleeping, you might have seen that sometimes when you wake up you are more awake whereas during other times you feel very sleepy.

When you wake up more alert, you have just finished a REM sleep and when you find it difficult to get up, you were in a Non-REM deep sleep.

You need to have at least 4 complete sleep cycle for a healthy sleep, so I advise you to set your alarm an hour before you wake up and observe if your mind is awake enough that you can write down your dream properly in your dream journal. (There are alternatives to dream journal, but writing your dreams on a paper is what I suggest)

There is a formula to find out your complete sleep pattern, which can show you all the REM phases of your sleep, which is explained in chapter five of the Miracle Mastery book, but I advise you to do it in the early morning hours because a good night’s sleep is very important.

Best WILD Methods

When I say “best”, I am talking about the methods that work best for me and I believe you will also get similar results using them.

1 – Switching Waking Up Time

This is the lucid dreaming method which works best for me since this simple method has helped me to have multiple lucid dreams over a short period of time and I also love it because I really don’t have much work to do here (Yes, I am lazy).

Just wake up during your REM cycle time (or one hour earlier than normal) and go back to sleep, close your eyes and try to sleep even if you are not able to, keep lying in the bed until your usual waking time. The next day, wake up during the normal time, keep doing this on alternate days and you will start having lucid dreams in those extra few minutes.

What happens is that our mind becomes very active in that extra hour, which naturally increases the probability of lucid dreams.

2 – Reality Checks

Once you are fully awake during your REM sleep time, just walk around your room a little and do some reality checks to know whether you are still dreaming, trust me, that could be a false awakening, so do it sincerely.

You can look at your hands, the clock or your mirror image..make sure you are doing it sincerely to know if you are dreaming, don’t be too sure that you know the answer or your mind will trick you.

Many times you will have dreams where you will perform these reality checks as you were doing it when you were awake, so if you are doing it properly, you will have lucid dreams for sure.

3 – Visualization

For people who want to be their dream architect, this method would be most helpful because here you imagine your dream beforehand.

Make sure you are fully awake before you do this, wake up and wash your face…listen to a song and move your body a little.. do whatever you can in order to make your mind totally awake.

Now lie down and imagine whatever you want to dream, just do the visualization by mentally going to a story mode, keep doing it until you fall asleep.

There is a chance that your visualization will continue as a dream as you doze off, but you need a little practice to stay aware and become lucid while doing this.

4 – WILD Meditation

This is something I wanted to share with you so eagerly because this method is probably one of the best techniques to maintain awareness while you are falling asleep.

You can use this method for frequent lucid dreaming once you get better at it; I have prepared it by combining a few things I learned from different places, there is a lot to say, so I have a whole different post on this lucid dreaming meditation method, which you can check out if you are interested.


One thing I would like to warn you here is that you might have to face multiple false awakenings and sleep paralysis with the use of wake induced lucid dream methods, so I recommend you to read my post on converting sleep paralysis and false awakenings into a lucid dream to prepare yourself for that and use it to your advantage.
